OLA Sports Center: Ventura County Schools Cross Country (VCSXC) is putting on a Fun Run this Friday, September 9th at Arroyo Verde Park in Ventura as a fundraiser for the cross country championship meet at the end of the season. The cost for the event is $5 per runner. The event is open to our cross-country runners, parents, siblings, and friends to participate and run in the race. Since this is a fundraiser, we are hoping for a lot of participation from OLA school. We are asking that the OLA Cross Country team wear their OLA PE shirt (or singlets) with black running shorts if they attend the event. Also if any parents or friends wish to participate and have OLA gear, we would like them to wear that for the race as well. The sign up for the Fun Run is at the following link: https://formaloo.net/vcsxc-pre.... |

Luke 6:12-19.
Learning to fight for the right reasons
Paul is berating Christians for taking their fellow Christians to court. Christians have access to a higher judge within them, the Holy Spirit. Furthermore, this same Spirit enjoins believers not to bring accusations against fellow Christians at all. How does that work out in our parish or Christian workplace? Here is Paul’s invitation to set aside any desire for power or control. And yet, we cannot simply let an injustice fester unaddressed. Perhaps we can distinguish between standing up on behalf of another suffering injustice, and fighting to get our own way for ourselves.
Reporting an absence:
If your child will be absent from school, please complete the Absent Reporting form. This form can be found on our app under Documents or on our website under quick links. This will generate a report that is given to teachers daily. Thank you!
